Worship

The Apostle Paul encouraged the Colossians "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts (Colossians 3:16)."

As believers, Christ is at the center of everything we do. This is especially true when believers gather together for worship. Without Christ, we would have no reason to gather for worship. We would be separated from God and each other. We would cower in shame in the presence of God. But Christ, our Savior, has restored our relationship with God by living perfectly in our place, dying on the cross to pay for all of our sins and rising again to prove that faith is not in vain but continues into the hallowed halls of heaven.  As people saved by God, we respond in thanksgiving.

This cycle of receiving from God and giving to God characterizes each of our lives. It also characterizes the way we worship when we gather together. To accomplish this, we use a form of worship that traces its roots to the apostles themselves. It’s called liturgical worship.

Christ is at the center of liturgical worship. Some parts of the liturgy stay the same each Sunday. This is to make sure that Christ is proclaimed and praised during every service. Some parts of the liturgy change every week. These changes are based on the appointed calendar of the church. This calendar makes sure that we cover the important events and teachings of Christ every year.

Education

The Apostle Paul faithfully wrote the words given by the Holy Spirit to Timothy, But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:14-16).

As we endeavor to hold out God's precious Word to our children, we have established a Preschool (click here) and K-8 School (click here) which are members in the WLA Asociation of Schools (click here).  We also offer Sunday School (click here) for our public school students and those parents in our School who want there children to spend even more time with their Savior!

For adults we offer regular Bible Study (Click Here) and many other opportunities to get into the Word where the Holy Spirit does all the heavy lifting for His people.   We would love to have you join us in any and all of these educational opportunites!  Learn more by exploring the ribbon at the top of the website.

Our Synod also offers opportunities for study from your home.   Learn more about Interactive Faith: Online Bible Studies (click here).

Outreach

God through the Apostle Paul asked a serious question, "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them (Romans 10:14)?"  The answer is simple.  They can't!  So in response to the love of God for us, we will seek to hold that message out, in our churches, our communities and our world!

Here at St. Paul's our pastors are ready and willing to offer Bible based teaching, preaching and counseling to anyone.  In our communities, our members are active and willing to speak the Apostle Philip's simple invitation to anyone who will "come and listen (John 1:43-46)".  In our nation and throughout our world, we support the work of our Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod through whom we do the same.  Through the various organizations of our congregation and synod, we seek opportunities to hold out the Word as we feed the poor, care for those ravaged by catastrophy, and send out missionaries into fields that are ripe for harvest both foreign and domestic that the message of Christ and Him crucified would be spread to the ends of the earth.
